There is something truly magical about blending timeless architecture with modern elegance, and this Muckenthaler Mansion wedding provided the perfect example of this.
I was truly honored to capture the beautiful wedding of Megan and Tim this summer, and I’m sharing all the details below.
Religious Wedding Ceremony in Yorba Linda
Megan and Tim began their journey together by exchanging vows at St. Martin De Porres Church in Yorba Linda, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The church’s magnificent stained glass windows bathed the ceremony in warm, ethereal light, creating a truly divine atmosphere.
The bride looked absolutely radiant in a fitted off-the-shoulder gown adorned with intricate floral embellishments. Her bouquet of pastel and ivory florals perfectly complemented her look, exuding romance and sophistication. Meanwhile, her bridesmaids stunned in flowing pastel-toned dresses, adding an extra touch of elegance to the day.
We were able to take advantage of the Church’s timeless beauty and serene ambiance to capture some breathtaking bridal portraits.
Outdoor Wedding Reception at Muckenthaler Mansion
The reception was held at the historic Muckenthaler Mansion, a dream venue for any Southern California wedding photographer. Built in the 1920s, this Italian Renaissance-style estate is surrounded by lush gardens, making it an idyllic setting for a sophisticated outdoor celebration.
Guests were welcomed into a reception area that was nothing short of breathtaking. Tables were adorned with crisp ivory linens, gorgeous pastel floral arrangements, and soft pink napkins tied in elegant knot folds. The aesthetic was a seamless blend of clean, timeless, and refined.
As market lights twinkled above, the evening unfolded with a delectable meal and a sweet treat of artisan gelato for dessert.
Intimate Couple Portraits in the grounds of Muckenthaler Mansion
One of my favorite parts of the day was sneaking Megan and Tim away for an intimate portrait session around the mansion grounds. The stunning architecture provided endless inspiration, from its arched doorways to its intricate details, creating a canvas that beautifully framed their love story.
The celebration came to a perfect close with a sparkler exit, as friends and family cheered the happy couple into their new chapter together.
As a Southern California wedding photographer, I’m always drawn to venues that combine historical charm with breathtaking details, and the Muckenthaler Mansion delivers that and so much more.
