Sophia and Jason’s Galway Downs wedding in Temecula was so much fun, and we’re really excited to share all the details from their beautiful day in today’s post. It was the perfect blend of personal, heartfelt moments and gorgeous details. We love weddings in Temecula, especially at Galway Downs, so it was a joy to be there to photograph it all.
A Beautiful Galway Downs Wedding in Temecula, CA
Sophia and Jason first met during Covid, and for their first date, Jason made Sophia a home-cooked meal. Their connection was instant, and they describe that first date as feeling like everything clicked into place. This ease in their relationship is so apparent and translated into every moment of their day.
We were actually connected to Sophia and Jason through another one of our couples—Avery (Jason’s sister!) and her fiancé, Jared, whose engagement session we photographed last year. It was such a joy to continue capturing meaningful moments for their family.
Their wedding took place in mid-October, and we couldn’t have had better weather. Galway Downs has lots of outdoor spaces, so it was a perfect day to be on the property.
There were so many meaningful touches woven throughout the celebration. One of our favorites was their Greek Crowning Ceremony, where Sophia’s brother placed the ceremonial crowns on their heads right before their vows. It was an emotional and symbolic moment honoring her heritage.
They also had some fun surprises throughout the night – including a mid-reception haircut for Sophia! Then later in the evening, guests were treated to late-night snacks from a Habit Burger food truck. Jason works for Habit, so this was a super cute and personal touch.

It sits on meticulously maintained grounds and has lots of outdoor spaces for you and your guests to enjoy. They have multiple outdoor ceremony sites on the property, each one with its own secret garden vibe.
Receptions are hosted in the property’s carriage house, which strikes the perfect balance between modern and rustic. It’s an airy, contemporary space with large windows that overlook the grounds, and big, garage-style doors that open to the gardens outside, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow.
Whether you’re envisioning something intimate or a large celebration. Galway Downs can accommodate up to 300 guests while still feeling warm and inviting. They also only host one wedding at a time, giving you exclusive access to the property on your wedding day.
We love this venue so much, and were honored to capture Sophia and Jason’s day there! It felt like a cozy, private escape in the middle of wine country.
