A Surprise Laguna Beach Proposal for Valentine’s Day
Brandon and Nyomi are actually from Las Vegas, but Brandon reached out to us a while back with the sweetest plan. He was organizing a Valentine’s Day weekend getaway to Laguna Beach for Nyomi and wanted to pop the question while here.
He told her they’d be doing a fun couples shoot for Valentine’s Day, but she had no idea what was actually coming. We were so honored to be in on the secret!
A Perfect Evening at Laguna Beach
The proposal took place on Friday the 13th, the evening before Valentine’s Day. It honestly couldn’t have gone more perfectly. It was forecast to rain quite a bit, but we completely lucked out and wound up with absolutely beautiful weather instead.
Laguna Beach can be pretty packed on the weekends, so we typically encourage our couples to plan shoots on weekdays versus the weekend, but Friday worked out best with their plans. Then for some reason, it was oddly quiet and empty that evening, which worked out perfectly! It was one of those moments where everything just fell into place.
The Perfect Laguna Beach Proposal Location
Brandon originally wanted to shoot at the famous Arch, but when we arrived, it was occupied, so we made a quick call and moved to a different spot. This ended up being even more beautiful because we were tucked away from any crowds and able to enjoy the beach and sunset all alone.
Both Nyomi and Brandon looked stunning, and the golden-hour glow from the sun added such a romantic mood to the evening. Then Nyomi’s reaction when Brandon got down on one knee was absolutely priceless – we were grinning from ear to ear as we captured it all on camera!
