Audrey and Anthony reached out to me to be a part of their seaside wedding as a referral from an amazing wedding coordinator I’ve worked with in the past, Rayanne Rose Weddings, and I was delighted to be a part of their special day. The pair live in Southern California and have known each other since high school.

They wanted their wedding to feel classic while also encompassing all the wonderful aspects of a day at the beach with family. Suffice it to say it was a stunning wedding from start to finish.

One of my favorite parts about shooting a beach wedding is how romantic everything looks. From the sounds of the ocean to the salty sea air, it always feels like a magical moment captured in time. The light from the sunset lent itself to some breathtaking shots of Audrey and Anthony before the ceremony.

This seaside wedding turned out truly beautiful, from the elegant venue to the enchanting sea just below. And everyone had a great time celebrating Audrey and Anthony on their special day.

Sunsets and Sandy Beaches

I loved taking Audrey and Anthony to the beach for the photos of just the two of them. Surf & Sand Resort has its own private access to the beach and Laguna Beach is really beautiful. The location is only accessible to people staying at the hotel, and so we had no crowd around while we took beautiful romantic photos of just two of them on the beach.

Together, they made quite the pair. Audrey’s dress was utterly stunning, billowing out in ethereal puffs of creamy tulle. And Anthony looked truly handsome in his black and white tuxedo. The incredible natural backdrop of the sandy beaches complemented their classic colors perfectly. Audrey and Anthony braved some rocky areas to get some elevation, and the result was beyond what I’d hoped for.

These two fit together so naturally; all I had to do was get out of their way and let the story unfold for the camera. We got so many wonderful shots on the beach, and it was hard to tear ourselves away! But before long, we had to head back up to the venue for the wedding ceremony.

A Seaside Wedding To Remember

The wedding ceremony itself was very sweet, with the bride and groom saying their vows before friends and family. The ceremony was held at the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church at Laguna Beach; and it looked absolutely charming, decorated in cream, gold, and pastel rose colors. It made the whole space feel soft and warm, inviting everyone to celebrate the happy couple.

Audrey and Anthony wanted to celebrate friends and family as much as their union, which made the whole day feel like a fancy family dinner. The reception was held at Surf & Sand Resort at Laguna Beach. There were some lovely speeches during the reception dinner, and I caught Audrey dancing around with some of the little ones a few times. 

This family also loves to dance. It was clear they couldn’t wait to get out on the floor to commemorate this unforgettable seaside wedding. It wasn’t long before people undid their tuxedo ties, took off their heels, and started dancing and singing the night away.

Final Thoughts

I loved being able to shoot Audrey and Anthony’s wedding. They were a great couple to work with and had such clear asks for their day. But they also wanted to get candid shots throughout the wedding to really capture authentic moments that couldn’t be planned.
