Sarah and Reid were a calm and carefree couple who met while in law school. The love they shared for one another was clearly evident before we took their beach engagement photos, and it was evident while we took them too. 

As an experienced wedding photographer and preferred vendor at their chosen wedding venue, Five Crowns, I know how romantic and important engagement shoots can be. With Sarah and Reid, for example, the engagement shoot not only gave them some awesome beach engagement photos, but it also gave them the opportunity to get to know me better before their wedding. Simple And Classy Beach Engagement Photos

When we got together to discuss all the details about their engagement shoot, Sarah and Reid loved the idea of beach engagement photos and were thrilled with the idea of an engagement shoot down on the beach in Corona Del Mar, in part because the spot was so close to Five Crowns.

For their engagement session, Sarah and Reid wanted a simple beach shoot, nothing fancy. In other words, they wanted beach engagement photos that featured themselves and the ocean. 

For those beach engagement photos, we went with lots of candids and natural movement. I loved getting them in the water and on a few rocks too. Adding a little adventure to a simple, classy shoot like this one can add some fun flavor without taking away from the simplicity the couple is looking for. With all of these elements mixed in, their beach engagement photos showed who Sarah and Reid really were: a couple that likes to explore, relax, and have a good time.

I’d also like to mention just how natural Sarah and Reid came across in their engagement photos. These two dressed like a couple out to enjoy a day on the beach, and that’s how they came across too. There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and many moments of them sharing their love for one another. The simplicity of their photoshoot allowed these elements to shine all the more against the earthy backdrops of the beach and the ocean.

Final Thoughts

I loved capturing these relaxed beach engagement photos for Sarah and Reid at the beach in Corona Del Mar, just a stone’s throw away from their fantastic wedding venue. It’s a wedding venue I’m thrilled to be on the photography list for, and it’s one I always steer couples toward because of how incredible it is.
